عادل امام يجسد شخصية رجل الكنيسة "مرقص" الذي يتعرض لمحاولة اغتيال فتجعله الحكومة ينتحل شخصية شخص آخر اسمه "الشيخ حسن" ، أما عمر الشريف سيجسد شخصية شيخ إسلامي اسمه "حسن" سيحاول أفراد جماعة إرهابية تصفيته بعد رفضه الانصياع لمحاولة تجنيده من قبلهم ، فتقرر الحكومة أن تحميه بانتحاله شخصية رجل الكنيسة "مرقص" ، ويتبدل دور كلاهما في إطار كوميدي سياسي.
